Conflict Competence: Turning Workplace Tension into Trust and Results

Session Description:

Conflict is inevitable in law firms, and the professionals who handle it well stand out. They address issues early, have direct conversations instead of letting tension build, and maintain trust even when the topic is hard. The result is stronger teams, healthier culture, and real credibility as a leader.

This session gives you a practical framework for navigating workplace conflict with confidence, whether you're addressing a performance issue, managing up with a difficult partner, or mediating tension between team members. You'll learn how your default conflict style shapes your response, how to separate facts from the stories you're telling yourself, and how to deliver hard feedback with both candor and care. You'll leave with specific language, a repeatable process, and your opening line for the conversation you've been putting off.

 Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify your default conflict style and its impact.
  2. Apply a structured framework for resolving workplace conflict.
  3. Construct direct feedback using the SBI+E model.

Enjoy an engaging seminar and delicious food while connecting with your fellow colleagues.

Our Spring Seminar will be from 4pm to 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
