Please join us for the January 23rd lunch & learn at the new location - Otis hotel on San Antonio Street. At this lunch & learn we will discuss planning and creating events for your firm. Your fellow colleagues will share their experience in planning successful events to boost morale or just to have a great time. 

Our panel speakers are: Dea McCart, Donna Hughes, Katie Koeppel and Linda Wood.

Dea McCart is the Senior Office Administrator for Ogletree Deakins' Austin and San Antonio offices. In addition to balancing a wide range of responsibilities, Dea organizes monthly networking events for attorneys and staff and plans local and statewide client marketing events that can host several hundred attendees.

Donna Hughes has been with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman for five years, serving as the Operations Coordinator for the Austin office. In this role, she manages a variety of administrative tasks and oversees the coordination of multiple projects. One of her key responsibilities includes planning and organizing company events. With a career largely rooted in the legal profession, Donna thrives on working with people and brings a wealth of experience to her position.

Katie Koeppel is the Office Manager at Jackson Walker.  She is responsible for a variety of administrative and operational duties for the Austin firm, which has approximately 130 attorneys, 10 Paralegals, and 70 Business Professionals.  She is also responsible for the Human Resource functions of the office, including employee relations and engagement. Before joining the firm, Katie spent most of her career in the healthcare industry. She has more than 16 years of experience in Human Resources, including 9 years of HR Management. Katie is passionate about people and believes that if you build an inclusive and fun environment, the work takes care of itself.

Otis Hotel Parking Instructions: 

• Turn right off San Antonio Street into The Otis parking garage which is just past the hotel valet. Be sure to take a parking ticket from the machine as you enter.
• Take the elevators to Level 1.
• Once on Level 1, head to the Acre 41 where you will check in with the restaurant host.
• Parking validation will be provided to all ALA guests. Please be sure to bring your ticket with you to be validated.
