2024: Best Practices for Plan Sponsors

On January 25, 2024, Brian Halbert and Dean Salyer with Pensionmark will present Best Practices for Plan Sponsors. They will relay the most common challenges facing plan sponsors and discuss some best practices to help turn the retirement plan into a financial wellness plan.

1. Become more knowledgeable about plan types and fiduciary roles and responsibilities.
2. Examine compliance policies to implement to mitigate risk.
3. Obtain best practices for plan management, including internal procedures and employee engagement.

About our presenters:

Dean Salyer 

Serves as the CEO & President of WD Pensionmark, a local firm that specializes in providing exceptional service and support to 401k plans, executive compensation plans, and private wealth management for clients. Dean is the strategic leader, with nearly 2 decades of experience in the field, and has led WD Pensionmark to become one of the largest Pensionmark offices nationwide.

Outside of his love for 401k and retirement plans, Dean is an avid team roper and loves teaching his kids how to become great barrel racers. When not in the office, Dean can be found hauling horses from rodeo to rodeo and cheering his girls on in the arena.

Brian Halbert

Brian serves as VP Retirement Specialist for the WD Pensionmark team to help plan sponsors mitigate risk, align plan goals alongside fiduciary obligations, educate plan sponsors and participants, and ultimately provide a proactive, tailored 401k experience.

Important Reminders About Parking

Option 1:  Park in the Chase Tower Building Garage at 221 W. 6^th Street.  Be sure to either stamp your parking ticket or pick up a discount ticket at the meeting to receive the $5.00 discounted parking rate when you exit the garage.

Option 2:  If the Garage is full, the Headliners Club offers a discounted parking rate of $5 at the parking lot at 600 Guadalupe Street (Lot P3010 which is connected to the Extended Stay America Hotel).
